The process went smoothly. I bought insurance in advance, and the store did not push for additional purchases. However, there were no snow tires or similar equipment. Be careful when driving in snowy areas like Banff. The car was in great condition, so it was safe to drive in the snow.
The service was great, no upselling, the car was in good condition, and it was very close to the airport, about a 5-minute walk pushing a luggage cart from the airport.
Quite affordable. We upgraded the car by paying an extra thousand, getting a brand new seven-seater Dodge SUV. It's easy to handle. Including one-way rental, additional drivers, a full tank of gas, GPS navigation, full insurance, and road assistance insurance for eight days, it cost us less than 4,500.
At Orlando Airport, you can choose your own car with Alamo. However, at Vancouver Airport's Alamo, the car was pre-assigned, possibly due to the one-way rental. They gave us a Kia Sorento, which was very difficult to drive. The engine revved up to 6000 RPM during acceleration and still lacked power, much worse than a Ford EDGE. I recommend avoiding Hyundai and Kia for future rentals.
