The staff at the Melbourne branch had a great service attitude. Knowing we were heading to the city center, they drew us a route and recommended parking spots, and also provided a map for pickup and drop-off routes. However, when we went to the branch near Hyde Park in Sydney to file an accident report, the staff there were not very friendly and kept insisting that if we had bought their insurance, we wouldn't have had so many issues.
We rented a car from Thrifty at Southern Cross Station in Melbourne. They open at 8 AM, and we waited in line for 15 minutes. The staff was very friendly and provided a route map for picking up the car, which was very convenient.
Waited in line for over an hour, got downgraded without reason, terrible experience. I'll definitely avoid this rental company next time.
