Very satisfied. The car model is relatively large, with two seats in the second row offering high comfort. It's convenient for storing items. However, the third row is average in terms of comfort.
Overall convenient. The car we originally booked was too big and felt hard to control. We coordinated with the counter to switch to a smaller car. For four people, a 7-seater is a must, as the luggage fills up the space. Since we bought full insurance, returning the car was super quick, highly recommend.
The car rental company kept trying to sell insurance. After repeatedly declining, they gave me a Chevrolet SPARK. When I noticed this during pickup, I went back to negotiate and they reluctantly agreed to change the car, but they only provided a small Nissan hatchback. I originally requested a Ford Focus for its larger space as I needed it for a long trip, but they ignored this. The car was in poor condition, dirty, and had unrepaired dents on the door, which affected my travel experience!
There weren't many people in line, but the process took quite some time. They tried to sell me additional insurance options, which I declined based on the rental company’s policy. Since I was renting from Salt Lake City and returning in Los Angeles, it seemed they couldn't find a car with California plates and tried to give me a downgraded model, which I refused because safety is paramount for long trips. Eventually, the manager managed to arrange a slightly upgraded Ford SUV, which was pretty good. There are gas stations near the return location, and since they require refueling within 10 miles, that was fulfilled, so I didn’t buy the fuel option from the company as their gas prices were a bit high.
Like: Our Corolla equivilant was a Hyundai Accent. Great gas mileage (40 mpg+) but struggled gettin up hills. Dislike: Was told to have vehicle back at 11:30 but charged an extra hour when we returned at 11:40. Most companies give a 1 hour grace period.
