When picking up the car, the staff called a colleague who spoke Chinese to inform me that I must purchase a full tank of gas, claiming it was a new company policy, and denied that I had purchased full coverage insurance, saying my order only included basic insurance. They said that in certain situations, I wouldn't be covered. When I insisted that my order included all fees and that I would return the car with a full tank, they said they wouldn't give me the car and had already set up the contract for me to sign. This was totally deceitful and a forced upsell. I had to seek help from the rental service's customer support. Eventually, after customer support intervened, they didn't make me buy the full tank of gas, but they did add a license plate fee, claiming it wasn't included in my order and needed to be paid separately. Customer support wasn't able to resolve this, so I had to take the car first and deal with the fee later. The whole process was very frustrating, with the staff being uncooperative and wasting a lot of my time, severely delaying my trip. I am extremely dissatisfied! If I hadn't heard of similar cases before, I would have been completely misled! It's been almost three weeks since my return, and previous fees still haven't been resolved. They also charged me an additional $70 for unknown reasons. I strongly advise against renting from Dollar. Don't be fooled by their seemingly low prices; they intentionally deceive customers and engage in fraudulent practices. The staff are very dishonest!
