Despite purchasing a full insurance package, both branches charged insurance fees without verification (they didn't even bother to promote it), consumption tax, terminal usage fees, and fuel fees. They also overcharged me for an extra day of rental. The car was not handed over with a full tank of fuel, and although I returned it with more fuel than when I picked it up, they still deducted a fuel fee. The total charges were nearly double the amount confirmed on the platform! This is serious fraud! As a long-time user, this was my worst experience. Very slow and extremely inefficient. There were only two people ahead of me in line, but it took over half an hour. The lady said they were too busy today. Let's see how this efficiency works in socialist China!

The location is very convenient.

Firstly, the deposit hasn't been refunded yet! Secondly, I rented the car for one day and chose the full tank option, thinking they would deduct according to consumption, but they only refunded a certain percentage of the remaining fuel. The front desk didn't inform us about this when we booked. Frustrating. However, the service attitude was quite good. Just be cautious, everyone.

The car was excellent, the pick up from Auckland was seamless but the drop off at Wellington Airport was difficult as the rental drop off area wasn’t signposted, the Hertz staff eventually resolved it but it took a lot longer than it should.

The whole process was simple & went without a hitch.
