I have never left a review before (good or bad) but my experience with Easirent was so bad I had to. After experiencing an issue with my credit card I was forced to pay for added insurance that I didn't want, with no help or flexibility or suggestions from the counter staff at all, who was visibly delighted to be taking an extra £120 for a service I didn't need or want (despite me offering to pay the full £1600 deposit instead). Later, when trying to contact Easirent to confirm drop off / shuttle arrangements (on a Friday morning) no one answered any of the phone lines, despite multiple attempts throughout the day. On arriving at drop-off, we were told 'the driver hasn't turned up today, so you'll have to get yourself to the airport' - no hint of paying for the taxi, or even calling a taxi on our behalf. Genuinely the worst customer service of any kind I have ever received. I hope my experience was a one-off, but I somehow doubt it.

The reason I wanted to hire a car was I needed more boot space for luggage as my car is to small. I wanted a estate car and that’s what I thought I was getting, but after I’d payed I was given a 2008 Which wasn’t big enough.

“very stressful experience, wouldn't recommend”

Stressful experience trying to organise airport pickup to easirent site. Spent a total of 2 hours after flight landed to collect car. All attempts to get through customer service at Aberdeen easirent failed. I felt insurance was being forced upon me. Long story short, I will not be using easirent ever again. Awful start to our short break.

I presented full insurance for excess and yet was still obliged to block 1500 from my credit card. In other rentals I have not had to block this which is one reason that I have taken out that insurance. I was not pleased. When dropping off the car I waited 40 mins for the shuttle bus to take me to the terminal. I and two other clients had to ask 3 times for the staff to ring the shuttle and chase it up. The staff were helpful but you really need to have a better relationship with your shuttle bus provider. It is very stressful to be waiting 40 mins for the shuttle when you have a plane to catch.

“Horrific experience. Bottom line - if you don't buy their insurance they charge £375 for damage”

Waited an hour for them to collect me. They gave me a car that was damaged on every panel then charged me £375 for two microscopic marks that they did not record when I picked the car up - scammed me because I did not take their premium insurance at £38 per day. Held me to ransom. Collection took a total of 2.5 hours because their software is faulty and rejects credit cards but takes them on another machine they have. I could go on......
