CAR RENTAL REVIEWS ON AVIS IN HERAKLION

There was an elderly gentleman with white hair who was super kind and easygoing, and he handled everything really efficiently. I was very happy with the whole process. Returning the car was just as smooth—he processed it right away and my deposit was refunded really fast.

The location is excellent. Picking up the car at Heraklion Port and returning it to Chania Airport is very convenient, with clear and noticeable signage!

Very convenient.

Very satisfied.

Good, very convenient.

When we got to the rental counter they kept suggesting we buy their insurance so we wouldn’t need to leave a deposit. But we’d already bought insurance through the platform, so in the end we still had to pay the deposit.

Once you get off the boat, just walk to the right and you’ll quickly spot the AVIS logo, it’s really close. The staff are super friendly and speak loudly and clearly, but their English accent is a bit hard to catch so you kind of have to guess sometimes. The parking lot is just nearby. I’d recommend taking photos of the fuel gauge and doing a full walk-around video of the car to record any existing scratches or dents — it’s definitely worth it.

The store operates on time, starting work promptly at 7 am. They are efficient, don't push unnecessary sales, and carefully confirm every detail of the order.

First time renting a car abroad. I visited the area earlier in the morning to check it out. This shop is located at the port, not far from another AVIS store—make sure you don’t mix them up.
