Overall, the booking was fine and the price was great. However, the location of the shuttle bus at the airport was impossible to find as there was no signage or similar. The instructions on the rental voucher were not sufficient. The AVIS contact number on the voucher was not active at the time of pick-up. I had to take a taxi to get to the pick-up location.

The process was quite convenient. They asked for the order, driver's license, passport, and notarized documents, then only inquired about additional insurance (I guessed, as my English isn't great). I declined, swiped my credit card, got the keys (which had the parking spot number), and left. Originally booked a BMW 3, but got a new Lada with only 1700 kilometers. Returning the car was also very easy; I just said 'done' to the staff (non-native speaker), they checked the car with a device, and it was fine. Back at the office, they gave me a receipt.

The car had some passive damage without evidence, thankfully I bought full insurance. When returning the car, I filled out a report and explained the situation in English. The insurance covered it, so I didn't have to pay. The return process was very quick.
