Do not rely on the actual car model—it’s misleading! The car I was given wasn't even in the options! I had to randomly pick something just to leave a review!
Because we had a lot of luggage, I booked a mid-size SUV, the Chevrolet Equinox, but they gave me a smaller Buick Envision. On the rental website, both cars were listed, but the Chevrolet was likely more expensive because it was larger. We scheduled to pick up the car at 9:30 AM, but when we arrived, they said the car was being cleaned and needed about 30 minutes. In reality, it took an hour and a half, and they handed us the smaller car. We explained that the car we booked was larger and that the new one couldn’t fit all our luggage, but the staff just shrugged and said, 'This is the only one available, take it or leave it.' They didn’t offer any price adjustment, and since we were already past the free cancellation window, we had no choice but to reluctantly take the car. Throughout the trip, we had to cram our luggage into the car, with some even placed at the rear footwell. Thankfully, our child was in a booster seat, so the suitcase placement was just bearable. On a positive note, the car was in excellent condition—very new and clean. However, constantly having to deal with the luggage arrangement was frustrating. Returning the car was quick, taking about five minutes without counting the time spent waiting in line. Since we had full insurance, they didn’t really inspect the car much before letting us go.
After returning the car, we took a bus. I specifically mentioned I needed to go to the terminal and take the Hilton hotel shuttle bus. However, as soon as the female driver left the return area, she told us to get off and walk. We walked straight through two traffic lights and then turned left before reaching the hotel. Thankfully, we didn’t have large suitcases, but we still carried four bags and had a child with us. She could’ve dropped us off at the Hilton hotel entrance or even at the terminal, but instead, she made us walk a kilometer late at night! What right does she have to decide for us and make us walk—especially for such a long distance? This is unacceptable and incredibly inconsiderate!
Terrible car rental company! Overcharges and has hidden and fraudulent practices! Details are as follows:
1. When we picked up the car, they told us our selected package included a full tank of complimentary fuel (the international voucher supposedly included it). They advised us to use it up, and during the return, we reminded the staff about the complimentary fuel. They acknowledged it.
2. The package we selected on the platform included a hidden 'default package' that required additional payment; this was not disclosed at pickup. They took a deposit as a pre-authorization on the card, and after returning the car, they deducted the charges without notification.
3. Why isn't the platform's package based on the rental company's contract? The agreement should reflect what we selected on the platform. If we have to check if the contract and package match during pickup, what's the point of the platform?
4. This platform is really terrible, and post-rental customer support is weak. I had a better experience with Ctrip Car Rentals before, and it's a shame I got scammed the first time I used this platform. Will anyone want to use it in the future?
Terrible car rental company! Overcharges and has hidden consumer frauds! Details as follows:
1. When picking up the car, they deceived us into thinking our package included a free tank of gas (the international voucher said it included gas), and told us to use it up before returning the car. When returning the car, I reminded the staff that my package included a free tank of gas, and they acknowledged.
2. We chose a package on QEEQ, but at the store, the contract included another so-called default package (which required an additional fee). This was unknown at the time of pickup. They took a deposit with a pre-authorized card charge, and deducted the cost after we returned the car (without notification since it was from the pre-authorization).
3. Why doesn't QEEQ's platform packages align with the rental company's contract? The contract should match what we chose on the platform. If I have to verify the contract against the package at pickup, what do I need the platform for?
4. QEEQ is really terrible. Their post-rental service is weak. I’ve used Ctrip Car Rental before and had a better experience. I can't believe the first time I used QEEQ, I got scammed! Will anyone want to use this platform again?
