This was my second time renting a car in Mexico, and it wasn't as smooth and enjoyable as the first experience with another rental company.

Upon arrival at the rental company, they demanded additional rental fees, claiming our rate was too low to be possible. We showed them our booking and held firm. After nearly an hour of arguing, we were finally allowed to take the car. However, it wasn't the Toyota we booked, but a smaller Renault estate car. Fortunately, one of our companions had lighter luggage, so we managed to fit the luggage of four people. To save time, we didn't insist further and just took the car and left.
