Friendly and kind staff. We initially rented a Highlander, but they gave us a more powerful SUV made by GM with a very spacious trunk, without extra charges. It was especially beneficial for our trip to Jasper and the mountainous areas.

Overall experience was quite good. No forced recommendations for additional purchases.

The service was very poor, with a lot of upselling for upgrades and extra insurance (even though I stated I had already purchased full coverage, the female Chinese receptionist continued to push insurance). Overall, I will not rent from Hertz again.

Rented two cars, but when it was our turn at the store, the staff processed one car and then left us saying his shift was over! After unsuccessful negotiations, we had to switch to another staff member. We had reserved the car for 11 AM, but when we went to pick up the second car in the afternoon around 2 PM, it wasn't ready. They said it had just been returned and was being inspected! We had to wait for almost two hours with multiple promises of 'in half an hour' or 'in fifteen minutes.' It was very frustrating! However, the return process was quick.
