This time I booked two cars, one Hyundai from Hertz Malta and one Audi from Hertz Italy. Neither booking indicated whether the car was a luxury model, and both vouchers stated that luxury cars require two credit cards. As consumers, we didn't know if we were booking luxury vehicles, and the two credit card requirement is specific to Hertz. The app did not effectively notify us, and lacking experience, we only brought one credit card. This led to us being unable to rent the cars and having to find other rental companies on the spot, which cost us more than double and was a frustrating experience! Can luxury cars be clearly labeled? Can the two-card requirement by Hertz be explicitly mentioned?
In addition to credit and debit cards, you can now pay for online car rentals with cryptocurrency! Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) are accepted. Curious about how long a Bitcoin transaction takes or how to pay with Bitcoin? Read our FAQs for more details.
