I will just go with a top class well renowned rental company next time save me the heart ache

The minivan was terrible in condition. We booked the pickup time in such a way that it gave us enough time to leave the airport and go to the rental car place and that pickup time happened to be "after hours" of Bargain Rental Cars and it was a different pickup location. But it so happened that our flight reached Auckland ahead of time. When we called the pickup location for the after hours office, they said to call BRC directly since it was technically not "after hours". When we called BRC, they asked us to call the "after hours location" since we had to pick up the car there only. There was some confusion which was frustrating for us and finally BRC agreed to come and pick us up from the Airport.

This rental company is very bad. 1. The pick-up service was over an hour late. 2. The car they provided was in poor condition and the charging port didn't work. 3. They charged us unfairly after returning the car, insisting the tank wasn't full even though we had just filled it up, costing us several extra NZD.

No problem. Car had 333,000 kms which i thought was excessive, turns out i maybe need to keep my own cars longer!

Only issue was changing the time of pickup. Wanted to change it to earlier and not able to do it on the web site. Staff accompanied us at pickup.

Car was ok. Not what we booked - It was bigger so it increased our fuel costs. Biggest problem came from the customer service when we had a problem we needed help with. We lost the keys. The car was keyless entry and push button start. BRC bascially told us to call a locksmith - any locksmith and sort it out ourselves they didnt have a preferred provider. but because of the keyless entry, locksmith could only open the car to get out lugage out . We asked BRC for a set of spare keys - they said they didnt have any and again we were on our own. Luckily there was a Suburu dealer in the town we were in and they said it needed to be towed to them and whole key system replaced. it took five days to fix, 4 days longer and $800 more because BRC didnt have a spare key for their car. they were really disinterested in helping and we were completely on our own. luckily we spoke the language and could navigate the system.
