“Started with ease and excellence ended in chaos.”
About Alamo:8.0/10
The drop off experience was terrible. During the pick up the car was covered in mud and dust so I couldn’t identify all the scratches or repairs. It’s absolutely acceptance to ‘accuse’ the ownership of any unidentified during pick scratches on me but they showed me a poorly repaired scratch which was done by someone before and painted black paint on it and there were three more same kind of repairs were there along with it. And the Alamo or enterprise.com guy accused one of the repaired scratches on me blatantly. He was trying to say that it’s a scratch made by me at the first later I proved that it’s and it’s an old repaired scratch about 1 cm, he said I made the scratch again exactly on the 1 cm scratch which is mathematically ridiculous. After wasting 30 mins after making few calls with technical team he agree that it’s an old scratch and apologised for wasting 30 mins and causing chaos. I forgot to mention that he demanded a chemical wash for some dust and chocolate on dash board ! Later I cleaned it with some water and tissue infront of him.
Moral of the story:
1. Dot accept or be careful while accepting car with must and dust
2. Always take as much as photos and videos for future evidence before taking the car.
The car was too old, a Renault Sandero. The tire rims were slightly deformed, but it didn't affect driving. Additionally, the USB port for charging phones had poor connectivity and caused intermittent charging. I had to rely on a power bank to keep my phone's navigation running.
If you don't schedule a return time in advance, staff might not be on-site. They upgraded me to a bigger Renault, but the car was old and had already run 60,000 kilometers. For mountain areas with poor road conditions, a high-clearance vehicle is definitely necessary.
Good experience! The staff were quite casual but accommodating. They mentioned a 5500 AMD charge for not washing the car upon return. After asking around, I found that car washes usually cost 3000-4000 AMD locally, so adding a bit extra for labor seems reasonable. Besides, you can always wash the car yourself. The car was clean at pickup and return, which seemed fair. A special shoutout to the hotel's doorman, who was extremely friendly and helpful. Although not a rental car staff member, he willingly offered assistance.
I rented a car for three days and felt that this company was quite strict. I arrived slightly earlier to pick up the car, yet they calculated the time based on my arrival and also required a credit card for a deposit. When I rented cars in Georgia for 7 days and Turkey for 13 days, they didn’t ask for any credit card deposits. The car model also felt very small.
This was by far the worst car rental experience. The service attitude was extremely poor, cleaning fees were not disclosed in advance, and they asked us to provide our bank card number. Later, we discovered unauthorized charges.
No staff was present during working hours, and the car pickup and return were entirely handled by the hotel front desk. The vehicle hadn't been used for a while and was covered in dust and bird droppings. The fuel tank wasn't full; initially, it consumed 18 liters for 180 kilometers, but later it normalized to 18 liters for 300 kilometers.
We rented two seven-seater cars with friends, but upon pickup, we were given one seven-seater and one five-seater car. The car rental company claimed that only one seven-seater was available across all locations that day. Complaints sent via WhatsApp went unanswered. The self-driving experience was somewhat compromised. During the return process, they inspected the car under bright lights and pointed out a minor scratch. Fortunately, the insurance provided by the rental service covered the cost completely.
Located on the same floor as the airport arrivals area. The airport is relatively small, so it's pretty easy to find. However, the staff often aren't around, and you need to call them to come over. It took over half an hour to get the car. Returning the car is simple — just drive it to the parking lot and leave the key at the counter. Nobody seems to supervise. The car seems to be an older model without built-in navigation or a rearview camera, so you'll need to use your own phone for that.
