You can walk to the counter of Thrifty - Suvarnabhumi International Airport car rental.

Service by Hertz The rental office is located near Terminal 7 of the Arrival Hall of Terminal T1 (old terminal). After taking the luggage, please follow the signs and it will take about 5 minutes for you to get to the rental counter for pickup. If you are in terminal T2 (new terminal), you can take the free shuttle bus to the T1 at the gate for about 15 minutes.

Drop-off Instructions

Very good process on counter with smile and completely no issues here. Drop off also without issues. Also I got car in segment, that I wanted, and all my luggage fit in the back. The main issue was quality of car - quite old with big mileage (170k km) without any special features (just radio and manual air condition, no bluetooth, no android auto, no rear parking sensor). But I also have to say, that car had good engine + I didn't have any issue with car during whole 2600km of trip

When I arrived at the store, there was no staff, and I had to call them myself. This is quite inconvenient! If a tourist hasn't activated their phone, how can they contact the staff? It is recommended to have staff available at the store at all times. What's even more ridiculous is the license plate number...167! The car sides were very worn, and you could still see the remnants of Hertz stickers on the vehicle. Additionally, there was a long scratch on the body of the car, stretching from front to back.

It was my first time renting and driving a car abroad, and it went smoother than I expected. The Toyota, which had 100,000 kilometers, still looked quite new. I used the air conditioning throughout the journey, so fuel consumption was a bit high. For the 300-kilometer round trip between Bangkok and Pattaya, I refueled twice: 91-octane costing 530 THB and 95-octane near the airport costing 450 THB. Overall, it was a great experience. Pickup and return were very convenient, just make sure to allow enough time. I’ll choose this again next time. The Shell gas station near the airport is a total rip-off—prices are much higher there.
