You can walk to the counter of Enterprise - London Gatwick Airport car rental.

London Gatwick is a multi-terminal location (North Terminal and South Terminal). Vehicle pick-up is available at LONDON GATWICK SOUTH TERMINAL. Upon arrival, we can be located in the Car Rental Center outside the Terminal building on Level 0. Please follow the signs for Car Rental. If you’re arriving in the North Terminal, please take the free airport Monorail service (located outside the departures area on Level 1). On arrival at the South Terminal follow the Exit Signs and proceed to Level 0, then follow signs for Car Rental. Airports only- Debit cards are accepted at the time of rental with a round trip plane ticket or flight itinerary. Debit cards are not accepted from local customers. Local renters must present a valid credit card in the renters name.

Customers who collect a vehicle from the UK mainland and wish to drive within mainland Europe are required to purchase European Travel Coverage. European Travel Coverage provides the customers with our written consent (VE103B form) to drive the vehicle in the countries stated below and to access 24/7 international breakdown cover through the AA. In all cases, customers must inform the rental branch of their intention to leave the UK mainland with the vehicle and require our authorization. Customers are required to inform the rental branch with no less than 72 hours’ notice prior to collecting the vehicle to arrange their European Travel Coverage. European Travel Coverage is only available to customers paying with a credit card and the vehicle must only be used in the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, UK. This includes the destination and any countries customers might travel through. Premium, Luxury and Executive vehicles are excluded from the European Travel Coverage product and are therefore not allowed to leave the country. The charge for European Travel Coverage is 325.00 per rental for all cross border travels. Customers renting from Northern Ireland wishing to cross the border into the Republic of Ireland will only be charged 27.00

Very bad. They didn't require a tire inspection when picking up the car and tried to sell us scratch insurance, which we declined. Upon return, the inspector claimed there were scratches on the tires and said they would deduct from the deposit card for repairs (basically, they were going to replace the tires). No argument worked; we demanded to confront the staff who handed over the car, but they ignored us.

The car rental company instructed us to check the car condition and inform them, but said there was no need to inspect the tires carefully. When we returned the car, a small cut was found on one of the tires. We informed them that we drove only on city roads and highways, where there was no chance for the tire to get cut. Still, the company deducted the repair fee from our deposit. Other companies usually hold a pre-authorization on the deposit, but they directly deducted £200 from our deposit. It feels like they are trying to make extra money through other means. Customer service never replies to emails. The return location is also hard to find.

They charged £195 for a small mark on the tire, which they found using a flashlight up close, plus an additional 20% service fee. It's a scam. I thought big companies wouldn't do this, but this one acted just like the small companies. I won't use them again. The radio couldn't be turned off, the navigation sound couldn't be turned on, the car didn't drive straight, and the steering pulled to the left. Make sure to take lots of photos as evidence when you pick up the car.

When picking up the car, I was told that the seven-seater business car I booked was a manual (even though I specifically noted automatic). They then replaced it with a Volvo XC40, but my luggage didn’t fit. The staff who handed over the car had already left for the day, and I was so anxious. Luckily, a kind guy helped me switch to a Mercedes B200, which managed to fit all the luggage.
