The Hertz - Dubai Airport car rental location is in terminal

You can walk to the counter of Hertz - Dubai Airport car rental.

The Hertz office is located in the Airport Terminal 1 arrivals area. If you arrive at terminal 3, please follow instructions to desk. For all rental pick-ups or returns at Dubai Airport, an additional 50 AED parking fee applies. Please pay this fee at the counter.

Drop-off Instructions

Please contact branch in advance for drop-off. Terminal 1: return vehicles to A2 parking lot. Terminal 3: return vehicles to parking lot outside terminal. Call branch if needed. For all rental pick-ups or returns at Dubai Airport, an additional 50 AED parking fee applies. Please pay this fee at the counter.

Even though the staff at the counter at the terminal and the staff at car delivery were friendly, I was disappointed with two aspects. First, I booked a hybrid car, and the staff member mentioned that since I came about one and a half hour early they will not have the car. So I got a normal gasoline car instead. Secondly, the vehicle took more than half an hour to arrive at the delivery station after I reached there, which is totally unacceptable. By the time I received the vehicle, it was only 30 minutes before my original booking time, so there was no reason not to have the exact car I booked. I think they did not have the type of vehicle anyways. I was disappointed with the service. it was not what I expected from a reputable agency like Hertz.

Very good, probably because it wasn't a holiday. There was no queue and the process went smoothly. Bought insurance in the store at a relatively low price, and the vehicle was upgraded to a Toyota CH-R hybrid. Easy to drive and fuel-efficient. No need to clean the car when returning it (it was fairly clean). Really like Hertz!

You first register and pay the deposit at the counter inside the airport, then head to the parking lot office to find the staff from your rental company and do the vehicle inspection before picking up the car. During peak times you may have to wait a bit, so I’d recommend allowing extra time when returning the car.

Only issue was car read low tyre pressure on pick-up. i had to get the tyres pumped up when stopped at a fuel station. Hertz did not honour the EasyCar value, and had me pay a larger number. The original number they quoted was excessive, and was a holiday changer. Thankfully they released the car to me at a better rate, but still more than agreed in the EasyCar terms.
