“Counter Agent Lied”

Waited 2 hour in a line of 5 people in front of us and more people behind us, for car pick up. This started at 8:30 at night. The agent tried convincing us that the reserved economy car would not serve us and that we should upgrade to an SUV. He even said we would be getting a Kia Rio. He walks out to pretend to see if the car is ready. He returns saying that only SUV's are available. We go out to the parking lot and there are only around 6 Toyota Sierras and Ford Yukons total automobiles. The 3 agents were all trying to up sell all the customers instead of just telling them upfront that all the other cars were sold out. The Sierra was not cleaned well, no windshield washer fluid, tire was leaking air, and the "needs maintenance" warning stayed on during the rental.

“Absolutely terrible”

Advantage customer care was awful. Vehicle broke down the following day. Spent an absolute age on the phone and the supervisor at Advantage was very rude. Apparently could not understand my ‘accent’. I could not understand her and it seemed to me her English was not very good. I spent 3hours in Universal’s car park waiting for assistance. I eventually got a replacement vehicle, but I have to say that neither the original or replacement vehicle were not very clean. Stained upholstery on both cars. These are the worst vehicles I have ever rented in the US in the 20 years I have been visiting. Avoid Advantage

Dislike: I had no problems. I did have to return from the airport since I forgot my wallet in my rental. When I got back to the counter, the lady was very nice and quick with finding the car I'd turned in and my wallet.

Like: The price
Dislike: The horrendous wait picking doing the paperwork before picking up my car. When there's 8 people waiting in line and each person in front of me is taking a minimum of 15 - 20 each to get their car assignment... I get a little "testy". The reason it takes so long is because your sales agents (that's right, "SALES AGENTS") are up-selling every costumer on insurance, upgrading cars, add ons... it's a bit ridiculous and takes a LOT of time. So, I wait and wait and wait while the agents explain everything to the people in front of me. I know you want to make more money but it's a REAL HASSLE for those of us who know we don't need or want anything extra. Find a way to service those of us who don't need or want extras without it costing us more money. Let us fill out the necessary paperwork BEFORE we arrive. Then we could go straight to the cars and go. I've rented a LOT of cars. I don't need or want insurance or ANYTHING. Just the car please. AND... stop making me wait in line for a half hour... and sometimes an hour just to talk to your counter agents.
