You can walk to the counter of Budget - Al Ula Airport car rental.

The counter is located inside the terminal, near the middle. Please pay attention to the car rental brand signs and proceed to handle the pick-up procedures. Vehicles collect at the main car park opposite the terminal building. Same as return.

Drop-off Instructions

Please return the vehicle to the main car park opposite the terminal building, at Budget area, then return the keys to the staff at the car park.

Driver's License Requirements

There was a long queue at the counter and the process was very slow. Al Ula airport is quite small, so I suggest that one person quickly gets off the plane and heads to the counter to handle the car rental procedures.

The service attitude was excellent, but the efficiency of Saudi staff is relatively low. The entire car pickup procedure took around 40 minutes. The vehicle's condition was quite poor, with many stains on the seats. The car's performance was weak, and pressing the accelerator caused significant jerking, making overtaking nearly impossible.

The car wasn't full of fuel when I picked it up, and they wouldn't refund me the extra fuel I added when returning it. After some arguments, they said the fuel cost covered the overtime fee, so I didn't have to pay it. In reality, they actually lost 15 SAR. I really can't understand the logic of Saudis.

In El Aura, there are only two car rental companies. I was worried there might be no cars available on-site, so I booked in advance. The advance booking process was quick, and they pre-authorized 2000 riyals. After completing the process, you’ll get a receipt and then head to the parking lot to find the staff and pick up the car. There are no signs in the parking lot, so it took some time to locate the staff. The staff members are sitting inside the cars, which makes them a bit hard to find. The car was quite new, and after the staff checked and registered the car, you’re ready to go.
