The overall service was excellent. They explained the basics of operating the car, how to open the fuel cap, which type of fuel to use, the exact location of the return office, and who to contact and what to do in case of an accident. Everything was thoroughly explained. The car was spotlessly cleaned, both exterior and interior. The vehicle's mileage was around 27,000 kilometers, which was reasonable, and the engine power was sufficient.

The service attitude was quite good. I picked up the car around 9 pm and there was no queue. The customer service did not mention insurance, but when I proactively requested full coverage, they added it. After picking up the car in Los Angeles and driving to Irvine, I felt the car was a bit old, so I went to their branch there and exchanged it for another car that was more attractive and newer. It was very comfortable to drive. The car exchange in the San Francisco Stanford area took about 30 minutes in line. The service attitude there was also excellent. They said I could leave after handing over the keys, but I insisted on receiving a receipt on-site. They calculated the fuel cost for the exchange on the spot, and I signed the documentation. The deposit was refunded very quickly, within two to three days. Afterwards, I received toll and service fee invoices gradually.

Dishonest company with overcharging practices. Before returning the car, I made sure to fill the tank completely. I drove approximately 270 miles and spent over $50 on gas (hybrid vehicle). Then, I drove about 25 miles to the airport to return the car. The attendant checked the vehicle and said everything was fine. However, later I received a bill stating that I was charged for 3 gallons of gas at a cost of over $40. Driving 270 miles used just 13.3 gallons of gas, but they claimed I needed 3 gallons for a 25-mile drive to the airport. This is truly a dishonest company.

Hertz is a well-known brand with affordable prices and much better service compared to smaller companies.

I think overall it's pretty good. There was no aggressive upselling of insurance. When picking up the car, there was a 'prepaid fuel option' for €97, and they said it would be refunded if the car is returned with a full tank. I was initially worried they wouldn't refund it upon return, but they did refund it when I returned the car fully fueled. I was also concerned about potential issues during the car return process, but they inspected the car on the spot and issued a receipt clearly and promptly. Everything was transparent and straightforward.

Overall excellent! When we picked up the car at Oslo Airport, we caused some trouble for the staff due to our own issues, but the staff member who assisted us was very patient and extremely friendly.

The service at the Hertz branch in Alesund Airport was excellent, very patient communication and highly considerate.

Although I chose full insurance for peace of mind, the insurance provided by Zuzuche is underwritten domestically, not by the rental office. This led to extremely poor service from the staff, who were not only rude but also refused to provide the requested car model and insisted on aggressively upselling their own insurance. They even threatened that if the car was damaged, compensation would start at a minimum of €1500. When picking up the car, I noticed several XC60s parked there, which felt discriminatory. The worst part was being charged a late fee, something I've never encountered before. Our flight was delayed by an hour, and then we had to take a train from Cologne Airport to Düsseldorf Airport, causing a total delay of 1.5 hours. We were charged over €30 for late arrival.

The staff seemed inexperienced. Even after I mentioned that I had already purchased full insurance from a third party, they still tried to sell me additional insurance. When I presented my driver's license to the staff, they used a translator and incorrectly claimed that my license had expired. It wasn't until I provided Hertz's official translation that they accepted my license as valid and within its expiration date. This caused significant delays at the counter when picking up the car.

When confirming the car rental, the initial payment was listed as 9,215 RMB (9,958 HKD). However, the actual transaction was processed in USD, resulting in a first payment of 10,251.98 HKD, which is 298.98 HKD higher than expected. I find this unreasonable because the company explicitly showed the amount as 9,215 RMB, equivalent to 9,958 HKD. Additionally, when picking up the car, both the exterior and interior of the vehicle were rather dirty. Other than that, everything else was satisfactory.
