Alpha-Car-Hire Car Rental

Picking up the car was not very smooth, but everything else was fine. The car model was a bit old. My language skills are not great, but I was able to communicate with the staff. The first car they provided had a fault, and after some discussion, they replaced it. However, the replacement process took quite a long time. Although we scheduled to pick up the car at 11 AM, we didn't get it until almost 1 PM.

The entire rental and return process was simple and convenient.

The insurance from this Alpha car rental company isn't worth considering. After purchasing the insurance, the front desk presented a paper listing various exclusion clauses: no coverage for kangaroo collisions, out-of-pocket costs for small stone chips on the windshield, and so on. What's the point of paying for insurance then? If they had informed me earlier, I wouldn't have purchased it.

The process of picking up and returning the car is simple and efficient.

The store service was excellent, but I can't comment on the follow-up since I'm currently in the process of an accident claim. The car's license plate was stolen in Wollongong, and the door was reportedly damaged. I exchanged the car in Sydney with the help of QEEQ customer service, who also assisted with reporting the incident to the police. I want to specifically thank QEEQ's customer service for their prompt assistance. High praise for QEEQ!

Driving from Sydney to Melbourne went smoothly, although the scenery along the way was not very rich. The Great Ocean Road was pretty amazing!

Very satisfied with Alpha's service. When returning the car, I couldn't find a gas station, but the staff kindly reminded me that I could fill up the tank myself before returning the car and even told me the location of nearby gas stations. Very considerate! The only inconvenience was that Alpha is not located in the airport terminal and requires a shuttle ride, but everything else was great.

Alpha was great - I called a few times prior to rental with enquiries and they responded promptly. I asked about additional drivers and they told me $10/day per driver. When we went to pick up, we were told that actually we had one free additional driver. The car was OK - a Renault that was a little gutless on the hills.

Overall, it was very convenient. After arriving at the airport, just go to the coaches parking area on the far left and give them a call. The purple car is also very easy to spot. They only briefly ask about insurance and do not push it persistently. The pre-authorization was canceled quickly after returning the car.
