Please note that an International Driving Permit (IDP) is only a translation. You must present your original driving licence together with the original IDP at the counter — photocopies or scanned copies are not accepted.

Cross Border

Allowed:

Taking rental cars to the countries that are not listed in Not allowed is allowed with charge of NOK 250 per day.
For all cross-border travel, it is mandatory that you have Roadside Protection (RAP) included/purchased on your rental. In all cases, customers must inform the rental branch of their intention to leave the country with the vehicle and require written authorization. Unauthorized cross border travels will result in a breach of contract and incur in a penalty charge of 10,000 NOK.

    We are very happy to have chosen this car rental company. When picking up the car, they gave us a RAV4, which had better space than the one we originally booked. They even personally guided us to find the car in the lot. After returning the car, the pre-authorization was canceled quickly, and the invoice was generated promptly.     Overall, pretty good. It was my first time renting a car, so I was a bit worried, but everything went smoothly. At the airport, it was easy to find by following the car rental signs. However, the pickup process took a bit long, around 20 minutes. I originally booked a Suzuki but paid a few hundred yuan at the shop to upgrade to a Volvo XC60. The car was very new, with only a few thousand kilometers, equipped with a built-in navigation system and heads-up display, which made driving very smooth and convenient. Toll fees didn’t need to be paid on-site since the car had something similar to ETC in China.
