The translation of the driver's license certified by the Australian Translation and Accreditation Institute (NAATI) can be used to rent a car and drive in Australia.

Original South Korea Driving License (English version)

An English translation must be provided on the back of the driver's license.

Original Driver's Licenses printed in Latin/Roman alphabet (such as English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, etc.) are acceptable for car rental without the need for an International Driving Permit (IDP).     Not bad. There's a counter at Avalon Airport's arrival hall with the parking lot right outside. This airport has very few flights, so there's almost no queue. Very quick. The car wasn't very new, having more than 30,000 kilometers. However, the condition of the car was good. Booked a Camry, but it was unusual that the car didn’t have a handbrake, relying entirely on the P gear. Each time I parked, I had to make sure the car didn’t slide before I dared to take my foot off the brake pedal.
